From the center of Chiang Mai, head to the nearest Songthaew stop. You can find these red trucks in areas like the Old City or near the Night Bazaar. Take a Songthaew heading towards Mae Wang. The fare should be around 40-60 THB. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mae Wang Waterfall. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. The Songthaew will drop you off near the entrance of the waterfall.

If you prefer a more private mode of transport, you can hire a Tuk-tuk from anywhere in the city. Negotiate a fare before starting your journey, which should be around 800-1,200 THB for a round trip to Mae Wang Waterfall. The driver will take you directly to the waterfall entrance, and you can arrange a time for them to pick you up.

For the more adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from many shops in Chiang Mai. Head southwest along the main road (Superhighway 11) towards Mae Wang. The distance is about 30 km, and it will take around 2-3 hours, depending on your cycling speed. Follow the signs for Mae Wang; it's a beautiful ride through the countryside. Make sure to bring water and sun protection, as there are limited facilities along the way.
