Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Tha Pae Gate area, head west along Ratchadamnoen Road until you reach the intersection with Huay Kaew Road. Turn left onto Huay Kaew Road and continue straight for about 600 meters. You will see Saun Dok Gate on your right. It's approximately a 15-minute walk.

    From Wat Phra Singh, exit the temple grounds and head east towards Singharat Road. Turn right onto Singharat Road, then take the first left onto Ratchadamnoen Road. Continue on Ratchadamnoen Road for about 1 km until you reach Saun Dok Gate on your left. This walk will take around 20 minutes.

    If you are near the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, walk north along Chang Klan Road until you reach the intersection with Ratchapakhinai Road. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the junction with Ratchadamnoen Road. Turn right onto Ratchadamnoen Road and walk for about 1 km to reach Saun Dok Gate. This route will take approximately 25 minutes.
