Car
If you're traveling by car from Doi Inthanon National Park, start by heading southwest on Route 1009. Continue on this road for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Ban Luang. Turn left onto the unnamed road (GGQR+JRQ) towards the terrace fields. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at the parking area near the terrace fields. Note that the roads can be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously.
Public Transportation (Songthaew)
To reach the terrace fields via public transportation, you will need to take a songthaew (local shared taxi) from Chom Thong. Board the songthaew at the main station in Chom Thong and inform the driver that you want to go to Ban Luang. The fare is approximately 40-60 THB per person. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Ban Luang, ask the driver to drop you off near the start of the trail leading to the terrace fields. From the drop-off point, it's a short walk of about 1 kilometer to the fields.
Guided Tour
Another convenient option is to book a guided hiking tour that includes transportation from your accommodation in Doi Inthanon. These tours typically cover all transportation and guide services, taking you directly to the terrace fields. Costs vary depending on the tour provider, but expect to pay around 1,500-3,000 THB per person, which usually includes meals and entrance fees.
