Car
If you're driving to Tham Yai Waterfall, start from the main town of Phu Kradueng. Take the Phu Kradueng National Park entrance road, which is well-marked. Follow the road until you reach the parking area at the entrance of the park. Make sure to pay the entrance fee, which is approximately 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children. From the parking area, you will need to walk along the marked trail to reach the waterfall, which takes about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, you can take a local songthaew (shared taxi) from Loei to Phu Kradueng. Once in Phu Kradueng, you can hire a songthaew or motorbike taxi to take you to the entrance of Phu Kradueng National Park. The fare for the taxi is typically around 50-100 THB. After reaching the park entrance, you will have to pay the entrance fee of 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children. Then, follow the marked hiking trail for approximately 30-45 minutes to reach Tham Yai Waterfall.
Hiking
After entering the park, if you're an avid hiker, you can choose to hike directly to Tham Yai Waterfall from the park entrance. The trail is well-marked, but make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry enough water. The hike will take about 30-45 minutes, and you will encounter beautiful scenery along the way.
