Getting There

  • Bicycle

    Start at the Lamin Lodge, which is a central point in Lamin. Rent a bicycle from the lodge or a nearby rental shop. Head south on the main road towards the coast. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at the junction of Kotu Stream. Turn left and follow the path along the stream. After about 3 km, you will see signs for the Saloum Delta National Park. Follow these signs until you reach the park entrance.

  • Walking

    Begin your journey at the Lamin Market. From the market, walk south towards the main road. Once you reach the main road, turn right and follow the road for about 2 kilometers. You will pass by a few local shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Niodior. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the entrance to Saloum Delta National Park.

  • Local Transport (Banjul Ferry)

    Make your way to the Lamin Ferry Terminal located on the coast. You will need to take a ferry to Banjul. Once you arrive in Banjul, exit the ferry terminal and head to the nearby bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Niodior. The bus ride will take about an hour. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Saloum Delta National Park. After getting off, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
