From Tendaba Camp, head north on the main road (Banjul to Barra Road). Continue driving for approximately 37 kilometers until you reach the village of Essau. The drive will take about 40 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions. There are no tolls on this route.

From Tendaba Camp, walk to the nearest bush taxi station. You can ask locals for directions; they are friendly and will help you find it. Board a bush taxi heading towards Barra. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Essau. The fare will typically be around 20-30 Dalasi. Once you arrive in Essau, you will need to ask locals for directions to Kanuma River View, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the center of the village.

If you are already in Essau after taking a bush taxi, ask locals for the best route to Kanuma River View. It is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the center of Essau. You can follow the dirt road that leads towards the river. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, as the path can be uneven. The walk will take about 20-30 minutes.
