From Basse, head northwest on the Basse-Koina Road (also known as the B4 road). Continue on this road for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction with the N1 road. At the junction, turn left onto the N1 road and proceed for about 15 km until you reach the town of Barra. In Barra, follow the signs towards Fort Bullen. The fort is located at coordinates FFP2+XGW, which you can enter into your GPS for precise navigation. The journey from Basse to Barra should take around an hour, depending on traffic conditions.

To reach Fort Bullen via public transport, you can take a shared minibus (commonly known as a ' gari-gari') from Basse to Barra. Head to the Basse bus park and look for buses heading to Barra. The fare for this trip is typically around 50-100 Dalasi, depending on the vehicle and the number of passengers. The journey should take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Barra, you can either walk to Fort Bullen, which is about 3 km away, or hire a local taxi, which should cost around 100-150 Dalasi to take you directly to the fort.

If you prefer to walk from Barra to Fort Bullen after arriving by public transport, exit the minibus at the main bus station in Barra. Head northwest on the main road (Kerewan Road) and continue until you see signs for Fort Bullen. The walk is approximately 3 km and should take about 30-40 minutes. Ensure you stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes, as the road may have uneven surfaces.
