Getting There

    If you are starting from Sultanahmet Square (Hippodrome), head south towards the Blue Mosque. After visiting the mosque, exit the mosque complex and continue walking along the path that leads towards the Topkapi Palace. As you near the palace, you'll see the entrance gates. Continue walking past the gate into the grounds of Topkapi Palace. Hagia Irene is located within the palace grounds, just to the left as you approach the central courtyard. The entrance to Hagia Irene will be clearly marked.

    From Taksim Square, take the Funicular down to Kabataş. From Kabataş, catch the tram (T1) towards Bağcılar. Get off at the Sultanahmet station. Once you exit the tram, walk towards the Topkapi Palace, following the signs that lead to the palace. Enter the palace grounds, and Hagia Irene is located to the left as you enter the main courtyard.
