From Taksim Square, take the funicular down to Kabataş. At Kabataş, transfer to tram line T1 (Bağcılar-Kabataş) and head towards Bağcılar. Get off at the 'Aksaray' stop. From Aksaray, walk to the 'Aksaray Metro Station' and take the M2 metro line towards Hacıosman. Get off at 'Şişhane' station. Exit the station and walk towards the right until you reach the street. Then, catch bus number 28 or 30 from the bus stop near the metro exit to Balat. Get off at the 'Mürselpaşa Caddesi' stop, and you will find Saint Stephen’s Orthodox Church just a short walk away.

If you are near the Golden Horn, you can walk to Balat. Start from the Galata Bridge and head east along the shoreline until you reach the Balat district. Keep walking along the waterfront, and follow the signs towards Mürselpaşa Cd. Once you reach the intersection, turn right onto Mürselpaşa Cd. Continue walking straight, and you will find Saint Stephen’s Orthodox Church on your left.
