    If you are near the Taksim area, take the funicular down to Kabataş. From there, board the tram on the T1 line towards Bağcılar. You will need to ride the tram for about 10 stops until you reach the Sultanahmet station. Once you get off the tram, you will see the magnificent Hagia Sophia directly ahead.
