From Kibale National Park, start your journey by heading southwest on the main road towards the town of Fort Portal. Follow the signs and stay on the A109 road. This route will take you approximately 30 kilometers (about 45 minutes) to reach Fort Portal. Once in Fort Portal, you can stop for fuel or refreshments. After Fort Portal, continue southwest on the A109 for another 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Turn right onto the road leading into the park. Follow this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the park entrance.

To travel from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park by public transport, you will first need to make your way to Fort Portal. Depending on your location in Kibale, you can take a local taxi (commonly known as a 'boda boda') to the nearest taxi park in Fort Portal. Once there, you can find a shared taxi (matatu) heading to Kasese. Inform the driver that you want to disembark at the junction for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The fare from Fort Portal to the junction is typically around 10,000 UGX. After getting off, you may need to take a boda boda or walk approximately 20 kilometers to the park entrance.
