Getting There

    If you are in the town center of Fort Portal, start at the main roundabout (often called the Fort Portal Roundabout). From the roundabout, head south on Kabarole Road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Njara Road. Turn left onto Njara Road, and walk for approximately 400 meters. You will find Tooro Botanical Gardens on your left at Plot 2 - 8 Njara Road. The entrance is well marked and you will see a sign for the gardens.

    Starting from the Fort Portal town center, locate the main roundabout and head south down Kabarole Road. Cycle straight for about 1 kilometer. When you reach the junction with Njara Road, turn left. Continue cycling for another 400 meters, and you will see the entrance to Tooro Botanical Gardens on your left at Plot 2 - 8 Njara Road. There is a bike parking area available at the gardens.

  • Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

    From anywhere in Fort Portal, you can easily hail a boda boda to take you to Tooro Botanical Gardens. Simply tell the driver 'Tooro Botanical Gardens on Njara Road'. They will know the route. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off directly at the entrance located at Plot 2 - 8 Njara Road.
