Walking
From the Fort Portal town center, head west on Kabarole Road towards the junction with Kijura Road. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Kaakiza Road. Walk straight for about 1 km. YES Hostel will be on your right, located at M79J+P4W, Kaakiza Road. Look for the sign at the entrance.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Fort Portal town center and ride west on Kabarole Road. After about 500 meters, turn left at the traffic lights onto Kaakiza Road. Continue cycling straight for approximately 1 km. YES Hostel will be on your right at M79J+P4W, Kaakiza Road. There should be a sign indicating the hostel.
Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
If you prefer a motorbike taxi, you can easily find a boda boda at any main street in Fort Portal. Tell the driver to take you to YES Hostel on Kaakiza Road. They will know the way. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you have the hostel’s location (M79J+P4W, Kaakiza Road) ready to show the driver if needed.
Public Transport (Matatu)
From the main bus terminal in Fort Portal, you can take a matatu heading towards Kabarole. Inform the conductor to drop you off at the junction where Kabarole Road meets Kaakiza Road. Once you get off, walk along Kaakiza Road for about 1 km, and YES Hostel will be on your right at M79J+P4W, Kaakiza Road.
