From the center of Gulu, start at Gulu Main Market. Head east on Market Street towards the junction with Awere Road. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, and take the second exit onto Gulu - Patiko Road. Follow this road for approximately 10-12 kilometers. You'll pass through several small villages and see local shops along the way. Keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards Fort Patiko. As you near Fort Patiko, the road will become more rural, and you will see the entrance to the fort on your right. The total walk is about 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Gulu. Start your journey from Gulu Main Market and head east on Market Street towards Awere Road.
