From the center of Gulu, head south on Gulu Main Street. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Kampala Road. Turn left onto Kampala Road and walk straight. You will pass several local shops and markets. Keep walking until you reach the junction with Jinja Road. At this intersection, turn right onto Jinja Road and follow it. Walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road towards Jinja. Continue walking straight until you reach the Speke Memorial Monument, which is located on the banks of the Nile River.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Gulu Central Market. Head south on the main road towards Gulu Main Street. When you reach the junction with Kampala Road, turn left and continue straight. Follow Kampala Road until you reach the junction with Jinja Road. Turn right onto Jinja Road and cycle for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the roundabout, take the first exit towards Jinja. Continue on this road until you arrive at the Speke Memorial Monument, situated near the Nile River.

To reach the Speke Memorial Monument via a boda boda (motorcycle taxi), find a boda boda stand in Gulu. Inform the rider that you want to go to Speke Memorial Monument on the banks of the Nile River in Jinja. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours.
