Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you're in the center of Jinja, head towards the main road, Jinja-Kamuli Road. Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Once you have your bicycle, ride towards the Nile Bridge and cross the bridge. After crossing, turn left onto Cliff Rd, and you will find the Source of the River Nile a short ride down this road on the right side.

  • Walking

    From Jinja Main Market, walk towards the Nile River. Head to the Nile Bridge and cross it. Once you have crossed, take a left turn onto Cliff Rd. Continue walking straight, and after about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the Source of the River Nile on your right.

  • Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

    Find a boda boda stand in the city center. Tell the driver to take you to the Source of the River Nile on Cliff Rd. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly at the entrance.

  • Public Transport (Matatu)

    Head to the Jinja bus park and look for a matatu that heads towards Kamuli. Get on and make sure to inform the conductor that you need to stop at the Source of the River Nile. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the stop near Cliff Rd. From there, walk along Cliff Rd for about 5 minutes until you reach the Source of the River Nile.
