Walking
From the center of Jinja, head towards the Jinja Main Market. Once you reach the market, look for the main road that leads to the Nile Bridge (Kakindu Rd). Walk along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Lubanyi Road. Turn left onto Lubanyi Road and continue walking for another 2 kilometers. You will eventually see signs directing you to Itanda Falls, which will be on your right.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Jinja. Start at the Jinja Main Market and follow the same route as if you were walking: head towards the Nile Bridge along Kakindu Rd. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Lubanyi Road. Continue cycling for approximately 2 kilometers; you will see signage for Itanda Falls on your right. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
Find a Boda Boda station near the Jinja Main Market. Inform the driver that you want to go to Itanda Falls via Lubanyi Road. The driver will take you along Kakindu Rd towards the Nile Bridge. After about 1.5 kilometers, they will turn left onto Lubanyi Road. The journey should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
Local Taxi (Matatu)
Head to the taxi park near the Jinja Main Market and look for a matatu heading towards the Nile Bridge. Once you board, let the conductor know you want to get off at the junction with Lubanyi Road. After approximately 10-15 minutes, get off at the junction and walk along Lubanyi Road for another 2 kilometers until you reach Itanda Falls, which will be on your right.
