Getting There

  • Private Car

    If you have access to a private car, start your journey from Jinja town. Head east on the Jinja-Kamuli Road (A-109) for about 8 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at the Nile Bridge. Continue straight to cross the bridge, then take the first exit onto the Bukaya Road. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you see signs for Source of the Nile Gardens. The gardens will be on your left at C5CV+QGP, Bukaya. Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu)

    To reach Source of the Nile Gardens via public transportation, go to the Jinja Taxi Park and board a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Kamuli. Make sure to ask the conductor to drop you off near Bukaya. The fare is approximately 2,000 UGX. After about 20-30 minutes, get off when you see the sign for Source of the Nile Gardens. From there, you may need to walk about 500 meters to the entrance of the gardens.

  • Bicycle
