Getting There

    From the Kidepo Valley National Park headquarters, head east on the main road towards Karenga. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the direction to Lorukul Cultural Community. The drive will take approximately 1 hour and is about 30 kilometers. As you approach Karenga, look for a turnoff that leads directly to the community. The final stretch will be on a dirt road, so it's advisable to drive a vehicle that can handle rough terrain. Make sure to have enough fuel, as there are limited fuel stations in the area.

    From the main entrance of Kidepo Valley National Park, take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Karenga. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions.
