After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach a bus terminal. Here, you can ask locals for directions to Jinja, as you will need to reach Jinja to visit the Speke Memorial Monument. Once you arrive at the bus terminal, you can catch a shared taxi or a bus heading towards Jinja. The journey from Lira to Jinja is about 4-5 hours. Upon reaching Jinja, ask for directions to the Speke Memorial Monument, which is located near the shores of Lake Victoria.
