Getting There

Walking
From the center of Masaka, head east on the main road towards Kalisizo Road. Continue walking straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Masaka-Mpigi Road. Walk for another 5 kilometers, passing through small villages and enjoying the local scenery. You will see signs for the Uganda Equator as you approach Kayabwe. Follow the signs for approximately 1 kilometer, and you will reach the Uganda Equator, located at Plot 24 Kikutuzi-Mpigi District.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Masaka central market. Ride east on the main road towards Kalisizo. After about 3 kilometers, you will come to a roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout to join Masaka-Mpigi Road. Continue cycling for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for the Uganda Equator signs, and follow them for the last kilometer until you arrive at Plot 24 Kikutuzi-Mpigi District in Kayabwe.

From Masaka, you can take a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to the Uganda Equator. Head to a nearby boda boda stage and inform the rider that you want to go to the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the entrance of the Uganda Equator, located at Plot 24 Kikutuzi-Mpigi District.
