Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park. Proceed towards the town of Mbale for about 20 kilometers. From Mbale, take the road heading towards Budadiri. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to Buligenyi. Turn onto this road and drive approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Sisiyi Falls, which will be on your right.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Sisiyi Falls using public transport, take a taxi or a 'matatu' (shared minibus) from Mbale to Budadiri. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Budadiri, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you directly to Sisiyi Falls. The motorcycle ride should take around 20 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 10,000 to 15,000 UGX.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from Buligenyi, you can take a scenic route. The walk from Buligenyi village to Sisiyi Falls is about 5 kilometers.
