    If you are traveling by car within Mount Elgon National Park, start from the park headquarters located in Budadiri. From there, drive along the main park road, following the signs towards the Sunset Viewpoint. The drive is approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as the paths can be winding and less marked. Upon approaching the viewpoint, you will need to park at the designated area and walk the final few meters to reach the viewpoint.

    To reach the Sunset Viewpoint using public transportation, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Budadiri, which usually takes about an hour. Once you arrive in Budadiri, you will need to hire a local motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you to the viewpoint.
