Car
If you're driving, start from the city of Gulu. Head south on the Gulu-Kampala Road (also known as the A109) for about 70 kilometers. Look for the signposts indicating the turn towards Aruu Falls. Turn right onto the unnamed road at coordinates VJWX+GFX (2.8963688, 32.6487326). Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach Aruu Falls. Be cautious of the road conditions, as some parts may be unpaved.
Public Transportation
To reach Aruu Falls using public transport, take a matatu or taxi from Gulu to Pakwach. The fare is generally around 10,000 UGX. Upon reaching Pakwach, hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you to Aruu Falls. The cost for the boda-boda ride is about 15,000-20,000 UGX, and it's approximately a 30-minute ride. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
If you are nearby and wish to walk, you can approach Aruu Falls from the main road. Once you reach the unnamed road (coordinates VJWX+GFX), it's about a 30-minute hike to the falls. Follow the path leading towards the sound of the water, and be aware of the terrain as it can be rugged.
