If you're traveling by car, start by entering the A78 from your current location in Ayrshire. Follow signs for Kilwinning. Once on the A78, exit onto the B7063 toward Kilwinning. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the A737. Take the A737 toward Kilwinning and then take the exit for Dalgarven. The museum is located at Dalgarven, Kilwinning KA13 6PL, and you should see signs directing you to the museum as you approach the area. There is free parking available onsite.

Public Transport - Train
To reach the museum using public transport, take a train from Ayr Station to Kilwinning Station. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Kilwinning Station, exit the station and walk to the bus stop located on the main road. Catch the Stagecoach bus number 11 or 12 heading towards Dalgarven. The bus journey will take around 10-15 minutes. Disembark at the Dalgarven stop, which is a short walk from the museum.

If you prefer to take the bus directly, you can catch a bus from Ayr to Kilwinning. Look for the Stagecoach service that goes to Kilwinning and check the timetable for the most convenient departure time. Once you arrive in Kilwinning, you can either walk to the museum (approximately 30 minutes) or catch bus number 11 or 12 to Dalgarven as described in the previous option.
