Follow the A78 until you reach the next roundabout, where you will take the first exit onto the A71. After about 2 miles, turn left onto the A736 towards Kilwinning. After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto the B780. Continue on this road until you reach Shewalton Wood. There is parking available nearby.

From Ayr, take a train from Ayr Station to Irvine Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes and trains run frequently. Once you arrive at Irvine Station, exit the station and walk to the bus stop located on the main road. Catch the number 11 bus towards Kilwinning and get off at the stop for the B780. From there, it is a short walk to Shewalton Wood. Keep in mind that the bus fare is approximately £2.50.
