Getting There

  • Walking

    From the city center of Bath, start at the Bath Abbey. Head east on Abbey Churchyard toward York Street. Turn left onto York Street, then continue straight onto Union Street. Follow the road as it becomes Broad Street, then join North Parade. Continue straight to cross the River Avon via Pulteney Bridge. Once across, take the first exit onto the A36. Follow this road until you see the signs for Bathampton. As you approach, you will notice the entrance to National Trust Bathampton on your left. It is approximately a 40-minute walk (around 2 miles).

  • Bus

    From Bath city center, walk to the bus stop at Bath Bus Station. Take bus number 18 or 19 towards Bathampton. The journey takes around 15 minutes. Disembark at the Bathampton stop. From there, it’s a short walk to National Trust Bathampton, just follow the signs leading you toward the area, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the nearby rental shops in Bath. Start at the city center and head toward the River Avon. Follow the river path eastwards, which will take you to Bathampton. The ride is approximately 2 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
