Travel Guide to Old Ardboe Cemetery

Getting There

• Bus

  From Belfast city center, head to the Europa Bus Station located at 2 Glengall St, Belfast BT12 5AH. Take the bus number 10A or 10B towards Cookstown. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Request a stop for Cookstown. Once you arrive in Cookstown, you can walk to Old Ardboe Cemetery by heading southeast on the Ardboe Road. The cemetery is approximately 2 miles from the bus stop and should take about 40 minutes on foot.

• Train and Bus

  Start at Belfast Central Station. Take a train to Portadown Station. From Portadown, transfer to the bus service towards Cookstown (bus number 10A or 10B). The bus will take you into Cookstown, where you will need to disembark. Proceed on foot south along the Ardboe Road for about 2 miles to reach Old Ardboe Cemetery.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Belfast directly to Old Ardboe Cemetery. Simply ask the driver to take you to Ardboe Rd, Cookstown BT80 0HU. This option is more expensive but will save you time and effort, taking around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

• Walking from Cookstown

  If you find yourself in the town of Cookstown, you can walk to Old Ardboe Cemetery. Head south on the Ardboe Road and continue walking for about 2 miles. Look for signage indicating the way to the cemetery as you approach. The walk will take approximately 40 minutes.
