Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Aviemore, a popular town in Cairngorms National Park. Head south on the A9 road. After approximately 30 miles, take the exit toward Pitlochry (A924). Follow signs for Pitlochry and continue on the A924 until you reach the town. Once in Pitlochry, look for signs directing you to the 'Iron Suspension Bridge' or 'Port na Craig.' You can park at the nearby public parking areas. The bridge is a short walk from the parking.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, take a train to Pitlochry from major cities like Edinburgh or Inverness. Once you arrive at Pitlochry Railway Station, exit the station and head south on the A924 road toward the town center. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the Iron Suspension Bridge. Alternatively, local buses may also operate from Aviemore or other nearby towns to Pitlochry; check local schedules for details. Once in town, follow signs to the bridge, which is located at Port na Craig.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity or hiking in the Cairngorms, you can walk to the Iron Suspension Bridge from nearby trails. Look for trails leading toward the River Tummel, and follow the riverside paths. The bridge is located at Port na Craig, where you will find scenic views of the river and surrounding landscapes. Ensure you have a map or GPS to guide you, as some paths can be less clearly marked.
