Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading north from central Cambridge. Take the A1301 towards the A14. Merge onto the A14 and continue for approximately 7 miles. Take the exit towards the A142 and follow the signs for Fen Drayton. Continue on the A142 and then turn onto Fen Drayton Road (CB24 4RB). RSPB Fen Drayton Lakes will be on your right. There is parking available on-site but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

To reach RSPB Fen Drayton Lakes via public transportation, start at the Cambridge train station. Take a train towards Ely and get off at the Waterbeach station. From there, you can catch the number 9 bus towards St Ives, which will take you to the Fen Drayton Lakes area. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited. The bus will drop you off near Fen Drayton Road, and it's a short walk to the reserve. Note that a train ticket from Cambridge to Waterbeach may cost around £3-£5, and the bus fare is approximately £2.
