Merchant Seaman’s Memorial: A Tribute in Cardiff Bay

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from Cardiff Central Station, exit the station and head towards the bus station. From there, take the Cardiff Bay Trail. Follow the signs for Cardiff Bay, crossing over the bridge. Continue on the trail, walking along the water's edge until you reach the Cardiff Bay area. Once you're in Cardiff Bay, keep walking along the waterfront, and you will find the Merchant Seaman’s Memorial on Cardiff Bay Trail, near the waterfront pathway.

• Bus

  From Cardiff Central Station, take the number 6 or 8 bus towards Cardiff Bay. Alight at the 'Cardiff Bay' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the waterfront. Follow the signs for the Cardiff Bay Trail and continue walking along the pathway until you reach the Merchant Seaman’s Memorial.

• Train

  From Cardiff Central Station, you can take a train from Cardiff Queen Street to Cardiff Bay Station. Upon arrival at Cardiff Bay Station, exit the station and head towards the waterfront. Walk along the Cardiff Bay Trail, and you will soon arrive at the Merchant Seaman’s Memorial.

• Cycling

  If you have a bicycle, you can cycle from the city center. Start at Cardiff Central and head towards the Cardiff Bay Trail. Follow the trail, which is well-marked for cyclists, and it will lead you directly to the waterfront. Continue along the path until you reach the Merchant Seaman’s Memorial located by the water.
