Walking
From the Chester city center, start at the Chester Cross, which is a well-known landmark. Head north along Bridge Street towards the River Dee. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the riverside path until you reach the end of the path. At the end, continue straight onto the A56 road (Eastgate Street). Follow this road until you reach the bus station. From the bus station, take a bus to Liverpool. The bus journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Liverpool, head to Williamson Square, which is a short walk from the bus station. Walk towards the city center, and you will find Williamson Square where the Liverpool Playhouse Theatre is located.

Train
From Chester train station, purchase a ticket to Liverpool Lime Street station. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Lime Street station, exit the station and walk towards St. George's Hall. From there, walk straight down William Brown Street, which will take you to the city center. Continue onto Ranelagh Street until you reach Williamson Square. The Liverpool Playhouse Theatre is located in this square.

At Chester Bus Interchange, find the bus services heading to Liverpool. Buses such as the X8 or 1 service run frequently and will take approximately 1 hour to reach Liverpool. Once you arrive at the Liverpool One bus station, exit and head towards the city center. Walk straight to Williamson Square where the Liverpool Playhouse Theatre is located.
