Car
If you're driving, take the A38 from Derby. Follow the A38 southbound and take the exit towards the A511. Merge onto the A511 and continue towards Ticknall. Follow the signs for Calke Abbey, which is located on Calke Road, just outside of Ticknall. The postcode for your GPS is DE73 7JF. There is a car park on-site that is free for National Trust members, but a parking fee of £5 applies for non-members.

Public Transport
To reach Calke Abbey via public transport, take a train to Derby Station. From Derby Station, board the Arriva Midlands bus service 29 towards Swadlincote. Get off at Ticknall village. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to Calke Abbey. Follow the signs from the village towards Calke Abbey. Make sure to check the bus timetable in advance, as services may vary, especially on weekends.

Walking from Ticknall
If you choose to walk from Ticknall, head south on Main Street and turn onto Calke Road. Follow this road for approximately 1 mile until you see the entrance to Calke Abbey on your left. This walk allows you to enjoy the beautiful countryside around Ticknall.
