Travel Guide to Kinnoull Hill

Getting There

• Walking

  From the city center of Dundee, start at the Dundee Waterfront. Head west along the waterfront path until you reach the Tay Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, cross over it, enjoying the scenic views of the River Tay. After crossing the bridge, follow signs for A93 towards Perth. Continue along the road until you get to the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A93 (Perth Road). Continue walking along this road until you reach the junction with Kinnoull Hill Road. Turn left onto Kinnoull Hill Road, and follow this road as it leads up the hill. The path will then lead you directly to Kinnoull Hill, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area.

• Public Transport

  From the city center of Dundee, walk to the nearest bus station and catch a bus heading to Perth (check local schedules for the exact bus number). Inform the driver that you want to get off at Kinnoull Hill. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to Kinnoull Hill, which is a short walk from the bus stop. The path will lead you up to the summit, where you can enjoy panoramic views.

• Cycling

  If you're feeling adventurous and have access to a bike, rent one from a local shop in Dundee. Start from the city center and head towards the Tay Bridge. Once across the bridge, continue straight on the A93 towards Perth. You’ll encounter a slight incline as you approach Kinnoull Hill. Look for a designated cycling path along the way. When you reach the junction with Kinnoull Hill Road, take a left and cycle up the hill. The cycling route will take you directly to the summit of Kinnoull Hill, where you can park your bike and enjoy the view.
