If you're starting from the Royal Mile, head west on High Street towards the Grassmarket. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Castlehill. Turn left onto Castlehill, and after a short walk, you will see the entrance to Edinburgh Castle on your right.

From Waverley Station, exit and head towards the East Market Street. Catch the Lothian Bus number 35. Get off at the stop 'Lawnmarket' which is just a short walk from the castle. Walk up Lawnmarket street, then turn right on Castlehill to reach the castle entrance.

If you prefer a taxi or rideshare, simply request a ride to 'Edinburgh Castle, Castlehill, EH1 2NG'. The driver will take you as close to the castle entrance as possible, where you can disembark and walk a short distance to enter.

Take any Lothian Bus service that stops at the Royal Mile. You can catch numbers 4, 10, 11, 15, 19, 25, 33. Get off at 'High Street' and walk west along the Royal Mile until you reach Castlehill. Turn left onto Castlehill, and Edinburgh Castle will be on your right.
