Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Thaxted by taking the B1256 road. From the M11 motorway, take exit 8 for the A120 towards Braintree. After about 6 miles, take the A131 towards Great Dunmow. Once in Great Dunmow, follow the signs for Thaxted on the B1256. Upon entering Thaxted, keep an eye out for Bolford Street. John Webb's Windmill is located at 19 Bolford St, Thaxted, Dunmow CM6 2PY. There is limited street parking available in the vicinity.

To reach John Webb's Windmill by public transport, take a train to Bishop's Stortford Station from London Liverpool Street. From Bishop's Stortford, catch the number 313 bus towards Braintree, which stops at Thaxted. Alight at the Thaxted stop, and from there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Bolford Street.
