Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Inverness. Head south on Church Street towards Academy Street. Continue onto Castle Street, then take a right onto the A82 (Telford Street). Follow the A82 for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Bught Road, and shortly after, turn left onto Bught Lane. The Inverness Botanic Gardens will be on your right. There is a parking area available near the entrance.

• Public Transport - Bus

  If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a local bus from the city center. Look for bus services such as the 'Stagecoach' route that goes towards Bught Lane. Depending on your starting point, catch the bus from the nearest bus stop to you (e.g., on Academy Street). The journey should take around 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Bught Lane stop, and the Botanic Gardens will be a short walk from there.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, the Botanic Gardens can be reached from the center of Inverness on foot. Start at the Inverness Castle and make your way down Castle Street, then turn onto the A82. Continue along Telford Street until you reach Bught Road. Follow Bught Road until you reach Bught Lane and turn right. The gardens are approximately a 30-minute walk from the city center.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can also take a taxi from anywhere in Inverness. Simply provide the driver with the address: Bught Ln, Inverness IV3 5SS. The taxi ride will take about 5-10 minutes from the city center, and the cost will vary depending on your pickup location, typically ranging from £5 to £10.
