Getting There

  • Bus

    From Inverness city centre, head to the bus station located at 1 Margaret Street, IV1 1LT. Look for the bus service towards Nairn or the 'Culloden' bus service. Buses to Milton of Clava typically run every 30 minutes. Board the bus and ride for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Culloden Battlefield' stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes south along the A96 road, then turn left onto the minor road that leads to Milton of Clava. Follow the signs for the historical site.

    If you're starting from the city centre, walk south along the River Ness towards the Great Glen Way. Follow the path until you reach the A82 road. Cross the road and head east on the A96. Continue along the A96 for about 2 miles. After a 30-minute walk, you will reach the 'Culloden Battlefield' area. From there, turn left onto the minor road leading to Milton of Clava. It is about a 10-minute walk from the battlefield to the site.
