Car
From Portree, take the A855 road heading north towards Staffin. After approximately 6 miles (10 km), you'll reach a sign for the Old Man of Storr on your left. Turn left onto the Storr car park road and follow it to the car park. Parking is available, but may incur a small fee (around £5). From the car park, the trail to Old Man of Storr begins, marked clearly.

Public Transportation
Take the bus from Portree to Staffin. The bus service is operated by Stagecoach and runs several times a day. Check the timetable for exact departure times. Get off at the Old Man of Storr stop. From there, you will have to walk approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) to reach the trailhead. The path is well-marked, and it is a scenic walk with views of the surrounding landscape. Ensure you check bus return times for your return trip to Portree.

Walking from Car Park
Once you have parked your car at the Storr car park, exit the parking area and find the trailhead, which is well-marked. The hike to the Old Man of Storr is about 1.2 miles (2 km) one way and takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. The path is steep and can be muddy, so wear appropriate footwear.
