If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the M6 motorway. If you are located in central Lancashire, you can access the M6 from the A59 or A6. Follow the M6 northbound and exit at Junction 34, following signs for Morecambe/Heysham. Take the A683 towards Morecambe, which will merge into the A589. Continue on the A589 until you reach the roundabout near Morecambe. Take the second exit onto Marine Road East (A589) and follow the signs for Heysham. Continue straight until you reach Heysham; the nature reserve is located at the end of the road with signage directing you to the car park. There may be parking fees depending on the season and time of day, so check local signage for costs.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train to Lancaster Station. From Lancaster, you can catch a bus operated by Stagecoach (Service 2) to Heysham. The bus will drop you off at the Heysham Village stop. Once you arrive in Heysham, follow the signs to the nature reserve, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary, especially on weekends. A one-way bus fare is typically around £2.50.
