Walking
From Ropewalks, head west towards Bold Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Ranelagh Street. Turn right onto Ranelagh Street and walk straight until you see the entrance to St Johns Shopping Centre on your left. Continue past the shopping centre and cross over to the other side of the road where you'll find Houghton Street. St Johns Beacon is located at 1 Houghton St, Liverpool L1 1RL. The entrance to the Viewing Gallery is clearly marked.

If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a bus from Liverpool ONE Bus Station, which is a short walk from Ropewalks. Look for buses that head towards the city centre, particularly routes that stop at St Johns Lane. Get off at the nearest stop to St Johns Beacon. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Viewing Gallery along Houghton Street.
