Getting There

• Tube

  If you are near a Tube station, take the London Underground to Aldgate East Station on the District or Hammersmith & City line. Once you arrive at Aldgate East Station, exit the station and head east on Whitechapel Road. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork onto Hessel Street, and you will find Alternative London at 19 Hessel St, E1 2LR.

• Bus

  To reach Alternative London by bus, find a nearby bus stop and take any bus route that goes towards Aldgate or Whitechapel. You can check the bus routes using the Transport for London (TfL) website. After getting off at the nearest bus stop to Aldgate or Whitechapel, walk east along Whitechapel Road. Take a left onto Hessel Street, and you will find Alternative London at 19 Hessel St, E1 2LR.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Alternative London, you can walk directly to 19 Hessel St, E1 2LR. Look for landmarks such as the Whitechapel Gallery or Aldgate East Station. Once you’re near these landmarks, head east on Whitechapel Road, then take a left onto Hessel Street. Continue walking straight, and you will see Alternative London on your right.

• Cycling

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a Santander Cycle (Boris bike) from one of the many docking stations around London. Once you have a bike, head towards Aldgate East. Follow signs to the Cycle Superhighway route that leads towards the City of London. After reaching Aldgate, navigate to Whitechapel Road and take a left onto Hessel Street until you arrive at 19 Hessel St, E1 2LR.
