If you're driving from Manchester, take the M61 motorway towards Bolton. Exit at Junction 5 and follow the signs for the A676 towards Bolton. Continue on the A676 until you reach the roundabout, taking the second exit onto the A58. After a short drive, take a left onto Rivington Road, which will lead you towards Rivington. Follow the road until you reach the area near Rivington Pike. There are parking facilities available near the bottom of the hill, typically costing around £2 for a few hours.

Start your journey at Manchester Piccadilly Station and take a train towards Bolton. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bolton Station, exit the station and catch the bus number 575 towards Rivington. The bus will take you directly towards the Rivington area. The bus fare is around £3.50 for a single journey. Get off at the stop near Rivington Barn, and from there, it's a short walk to reach the foot of Rivington Pike.
