Experience Liverpool from Above at St Johns Beacon

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, make your way to Liverpool city center. From the M62 motorway, follow signs for the A5047 towards Liverpool. When you reach the city, follow signs for 'City Centre'. You can park at nearby car parks such as the Q-Park at 1-3 St John's Lane, Liverpool L1 1LR, which is a short walk from St Johns Beacon. After parking, head east on St John's Lane, then turn left onto Houghton Street. St John's Beacon is located at 1 Houghton St, which should take about 5 minutes on foot.

• Train

  If you're traveling by train, take a train to Liverpool Lime Street Station, which is well connected from various locations in the North West, including Manchester and Chester. Once you arrive at Lime Street, exit the station and head south on Lime Street. Continue onto St George's Place, then turn left onto the A5038 (Ranelagh Street). Walk straight until you reach the junction with Houghton Street. St John's Beacon will be on your right, about a 10-minute walk from the station.

• Bus

  For bus travelers, look for services heading to Liverpool city center. Many local and regional bus routes converge at Liverpool One Bus Station or Queen Square Bus Station. From either bus station, it will be a short walk to St John's Beacon. Head towards the A5038 (Ranelagh Street) and follow the instructions as given for train travelers. It should take around 10-15 minutes to walk from the bus stations to the Beacon.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from your current location in North West England. Taxis are available at train stations and bus terminals. Simply provide the driver with the address: St Johns Beacon, 1 Houghton St, Liverpool L1 1RL. Taxi fares may vary depending on your starting location, but expect to pay around £10-£30 based on distance.

• Walking

  If you're already in central Liverpool, walking to St John's Beacon is quite straightforward. From major landmarks such as the Liverpool One shopping center or the Royal Albert Dock, head towards the city center. Use your smartphone for navigation or follow street signs directing you to Houghton Street. The walk should take no more than 15-20 minutes.
