From any location in Orkney, head to the main roads leading to Thurso. If you are starting from Kirkwall, take the A963 to St. Ola, then follow the A964 and A96 north. Merge onto the A9 at the roundabout toward Thurso. Continue following the A9 until you reach the signs for Dunnet Head. Follow the signs directing you to Dunnet Head Lighthouse. There is a parking area available near the lighthouse, but please note that parking fees may apply.
