If you're driving from Peebles, head southeast on the A72 towards Innerleithen. Continue on the A72 until you reach the junction with the A703. Turn left onto the A703 and follow it towards Galashiels. Once you reach Galashiels, take the A6091 to Melrose. Follow the signs to Melrose Abbey, which will be located on Abbey St. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that some areas may require a parking fee.
