If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town of Lairg. Head southwest on the A839 towards the A9. After approximately 6 miles, take a left turn onto the B864 towards Achany Glen. Follow the B864 for about 2 miles, and you will arrive at the Falls Of Shin Community Project located at Achany Glen, By Lairg IV27 4EE. There is free parking available on-site.

For those using public transportation, take the train to Lairg Station from Inverness, which is approximately a 40-minute journey. From Lairg Station, you can take a local bus (check the local schedule as services may vary) heading towards Achany Glen. The bus stop is located close to the Falls of Shin. Ensure to check the bus times in advance for your return journey.

If you are in Lairg and prefer a more active approach, you can walk or cycle to the Falls of Shin. The distance from Lairg is about 3 miles along the B864, which has a dedicated path for pedestrians and cyclists. It will take approximately 1 hour to walk or 15-20 minutes to cycle.
