If you're driving from the Scottish Highlands, take the A9 southbound from Inverness or any location in the Highlands to reach the M9 motorway. Merge onto the M9 and follow signs for Falkirk. Take exit 5 from the M9 to join the A803 towards Grangemouth. Continue on the A803 until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto the A904. Follow the signs for The Helix, where The Kelpies are located. The Kelpies are situated at the Visitor Centre, The Helix, Grangemouth, Falkirk FK2 7ZT.

To reach The Kelpies via public transport from the Highlands, you can take a train from Inverness to Falkirk Grahamston Station. Book your ticket in advance via ScotRail. Once you arrive at Falkirk Grahamston Station, you can take a taxi directly to The Kelpies, or you can use local bus services. The bus service from Falkirk to The Helix is operated by First Bus. Check the local timetable for bus routes 3 or 4, which will take you close to The Kelpies. Expect to pay around £5-£10 for the train ticket and approximately £10 for a taxi ride.
