Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the A127 road. Follow signs for Southend-on-Sea. Once in Southend, follow signs for the seafront. Use the A13 to reach the Western Esplanade. There are several car parks available nearby, including the Western Esplanade car park, which is within walking distance to the pier. Parking fees may apply, typically around £1.50 per hour.

• Train

  If you prefer to use public transportation, take a train to Southend Central Station. From London, you can board a train from London Fenchurch Street or London Liverpool Street, which takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Southend Central, exit the station and head towards the High Street. Continue straight until you reach the seafront, then turn right onto Western Esplanade. The Southend Pier will be clearly visible as you approach the waterfront, and the walk takes about 15-20 minutes.
