If you are driving from Milnthorpe, take the A6 northbound towards Kendal. After approximately 1.5 miles, turn left onto the A6070 towards Crooklands. Continue on the A6070 for about 2 miles until you reach Slack Head. Look for signs indicating 'Fairy Steps' and follow the local road signs. There is limited parking near the footpath entrance at Slack Head, which is free of charge.

From Milnthorpe, you can take a bus towards Kendal. Look for the bus services operated by Stagecoach or other local services that run on the A6. Disembark at the Slack Head stop. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles along local roads following the signs to Fairy Steps. The walk will take you through scenic countryside, and be sure to wear appropriate footwear.
